A happy new year to all our stakeholders, sponsors, and BCM residents.
2016 was nothing short of successful for Call-2-Action, and it is all thanks to the dedicated individuals and organisations who pledged their time, professional skills, and financial resources to making the project a reality.
The Call-2-Action team worked tirelessly throughout the festive season, cutting grass, removing weeds, and collecting all sorts of waste along the Settlers Way route; ensuring that visitors get a pleasant first look at the city as they enter from the airport and the R72.

Last year, the Call-2-Action initiative was introduced with the simple purpose of asking businesses to contribute to enhancing the environment in which they operate; focusing on four pilot areas, namely: Settlers Way, Quigney, Oxford Street and Western Avenue, and Southernwood.
The project took off in November at the first pilot area, Settlers way, which was the first to receive full financial support from businesses. An implementing agent, DNF Waste and Environmental Services was appointed to clean up the area.
Going forward, Call-2-Action still invites businesses to get involved in the project to ensure its success in creating a Cleaner and Greener Buffalo City Municipality.
Call-2-Action stakeholders are to seat their first meeting of the year on Wednesday, January 11, to discuss, among other things, the progress made and the steps to be taken in the new year.
With full support from business in and outside the four pilot areas, call-2-action will change the face of the city and create a conducive environment to Work, Live, Play, and Invest in.
